Numerous showers late on

The weather, currently.

Rain activity could increase in South Florida on Friday as a front moves down from northern Florida in response to Tropical Storm Idalia moving further out into the Atlantic. With moisture levels still above-average, this will spark numerous showers and scattered thunderstorms during the mid-afternoon and early evening. As is often the case these days, urban flooding will be a concern once again. And we can’t forget about the heat, which will likely be at Heat Advisory criteria with heat indices between 105 and 112 degrees.
