Currently in Miami — October 31, 2023: Good weather for trick-or-treaters
Plus, a frigid Halloween night nationwide.
The weather, currently.
Good weather for trick or treaters
A general lack of moisture will result in another mostly dry day across South Florida again on Halloween. Pesky showers will likely pop up once again along the immediate east coast, but rain chances inland will be minimal. Sunny skies and relatively light winds will allow temperatures to climb into the mid to upper 80s during the afternoon, but overnight lows will be slightly cooler around 70 degrees. There will be a brief period of rain activity on Wednesday as a frontal boundary passes through South Florida, but the only significant change in the weather behind the front will be lower humidity. On Friday and over the weekend is when moisture could finally increase again to generate some rainier days. Despite the benign weather conditions, we will continue to deal with King Tide flooding boosted by sea level rise in many low spots and coastal areas.
What you need to know, currently.
Temperatures 10 to 25°F colder than normal will shroud most of the United States on Halloween, bringing a chill to any planned spooky festivities.
Freeze warnings stretch from southern California to Louisiana to eastern Pennsylvania, and some places like western North Dakota may even dip below zero Fahrenheit on Tuesday morning.
It may be a good idea to figure out how to incorporate a jacket into that costume tomorrow night across much of the lower 48. "Mr. Freeze" is a good costume, but only if it's intended. #Halloween

If you have a Halloween costume that’s winter-adaptable, I’d recommend it. Like maybe “Lavender Haze” Taylor instead of “Shake it Off” Taylor??
